Does anyone else, beside me, seem to have a love-hate relationship with winter? I hate it because it is sooooo cold! It makes me miss Cali even more! :'( But I love it because it is boot and cozy sweater weather season.
So in case you have not noticed yet, I am also boot lover, especially over the knee or thigh high boots. I was a little skeptical at first about thigh high boots, because of my height, but when I tried on my first pair of thigh high boots, I immediately fell in love and I said, “Buy the boots!!”
So let’s talk about wearing white in the winter. I love wearing white all year round, but I find that I love wearing white more during the winter. I suppose it is because it just feels right with the winter season. One of my favorite outfits to wear during the winter season are white sweater dresses. Not only are they so warm, but they are also so comfy. Plus, sweater dresses, such as the one I am wearing here, are so feminine and classy.
You can dress sweater dresses in a varieties of different ways. For this outfit, I chose to wear these thigh high boots. Let’s just talk about how much I love these boots. Ok, actually I am a little obsessed. First of all, I love the fact that they are thigh high boots. Second, I love the fact that they are suede and third I love the fact that they are block heels. All three a must have for this season. I also love the color of these boots. This taupe color is very versatile and can easily be worn with light, cream, whites colors such, as the ones I am wearing here, or with darker colors such as blacks and grays.
So to make my outfit look more sophisticated, I added a leopard print scarf. This not only adds a feminine touch to my outfit, but it also makes it looks so chic and trendy as leopard print is very trendy this season. Or if you are like me, leopard print is always trendy in your wardrobe 😉 The darker colors from the leopard print scarf add a little contrast to the outfit, making the outfit colors and details all beautifully stand out, since light colors can tend to be lost.
For accessories, I decided to wear small pearl stud earrings. You cannot really see them in the pictures, but I am wearing them. When you wear contrasting big scarfs, you want to be careful not to over do it with the accessories since your contrast and focus is on the scarf. If you over do it with big dangly earrings or hoop earrings you are going to take away from the sophisticated look of your outfit and both can ideas can get lost and not look very well combined.
Happy winter days my loves!! :*
