Easter Celebrations

Hello, my loves! Hope you all are having a fabulous week! This week I wanted to share with you a little about my personal life by sharing details of my Easter Day outfit, but most importantly I wanted to share about my Easter Day celebrations and how much I love this day!!

As usual in the spring I always want to wear bright colors because for one I feel that they are so “springy” and two I love how they make my skin tone pop! 😉 So for Easter it could not have been any different. That sun though! 😉

Denim Staples

In case you didn’t read my last couple posts, spring is my favorite season! I love, LOVE spring! I mean who doesn’t right? Not only do I love spring because I get to wear all these pretty “springy” outfits, but I also love it because it’s warm enough to go bare legs while at the same time wear long sleeves! I will say, when I was younger, I didn’t like much the idea of wearing long sleeves shirts with skirts. However, over the years, I have learned to spice things up a bit and get out of my comfort zone and try new trends!

One of my current spring trends is denim. I can’t express enough how much I love denim and naturally I love the fact that it is so trendy right now; although, I can’t even think of a time when denim was not trendy. I mean we wear denim jeans just about everyday, for our entire lives. Unless of course, your day job does not allow you to wear jeans, but that’s another story lol. The fact is denim has always been trendy, but currently it is trendy without a doubt!

Just to give you an idea of how much I love denim and how it has always been in style, and of course in my closet, I purchased this denim skirt when I was in high school! Yes, in high school!! I have now graduated high school and college and have been out of college for a few years, so that probably tells you how old this skirt is and how old I am too 😉

Girl’s Night Out

Hello, loves! So tomorrow is officially the first day of spring!! Are you all excited or what? I am!! Spring is my favorite season because the weather is just so perf, it makes me so happy all the time. But of course I love spring because I get to wear all these pretty dresses and sandals, ohhh it makes me so happy just thinking about it! 🙂

As you all may know, one of my favorite color dresses to wear is white. I love wearing white all year round. Yeah, that no white rule after Labor Day does not exist in my fashion world. Who made that rule up anyway? Since I was curious, I did a little research on this and found that this rule was made around the 1950s by upper class women as a way to dissociated themselves from other social classes. Booo! Although this is just a speculation and there are many other theories out there for the origin of this rule. But again who cares, fashion should not have rules, just be yourself!!

So I wanted to share one of my favorite dresses in my closet right now. I purchased this dress at Bebe last year. And I must say I love, love this dress. I love bandage dresses because of the way they conform to your body so beautifully. I also love bandage dresses because they have that classy and sophisticated look and the white color makes it look more sophisticated.

I also love this dress because it has an outside zipper on the back. (I forgot to take a picture of that for you. I know, bad blogger. I’m sorry!!) If you know me by now, I have an obsession with outside zippers. I think they are so chic and so stylish!! And they give your outfit a more elegant look, making your outfit go from simple to elegant really quick!

I wore this dress out, not too long ago, on a girl’s night out. A nice fancy dinner with friends and a fun time dancing the night away. I love dancing! But I have also worn this dress to a more casual dinner and family parties. That’s another reason why I love this dress because it can be worn to different events. Throw on some sandals and a motor or denim jacket for a more casual summery look.

It happened to be about 40 degrees when I wore this dress, so I decided to pair with my short off white peacoat. Have I mentioned how much I love pea coats and how they are so abundant in my closet???

The off white pea coat gave me the same kind of look I was going for that night. A nice classy and sophisticated look.

I paired this look up with gold metallic pumps, but I have worn this dress before with black pumps for a black and white look. Or again, sandals for a more casual look.

There you go loves! What are some go your favorite spring a                                            nd summer obsessions?  I would love to hear all about it and be inspired by your ideas! Happy Sunday! 🙂

Pretty in Lace

Hello, my loves! Hope you all had an amazing weekend. I spent my entire weekend with my family. It was such amazing and relaxing time. I love spending time with my family. Hope you all live close to your family and get to spend time with them too! 🙂

So now, what we are here for, yes, fashion! So, I wanted to share with you another little obsession of mine… lace! I mean, what is there not to love about lace? Lace always looks so classy and sophisticated. Pair it with a pair of pumps and you give it that extra elegant look.

Lace is very versatile. You can dress it up or down, depending on the shoes and accessories that you pair it with. In this case, I wanted to show you a more relaxed, yet chic look.

Lace is pretty much worn all year round. Whether it’s on the fashion runways, at fashion week, or not, you can be guaranteed that lace will be sold at your favorite shopping store. It’s something, that just seems not to go out of style, like ever. Although, it seems to be more popular during the winter, especially around Thanksgiving and Christmas time (I know I’m a little late for this post, but like I said lace is pretty much worn all year round. And if you have been following me for a while now, you know I love trends, but if I really like something, even if it is not in style, I will still wear it. After all, style is a way to express yourself without speaking!)

As I stated before, lace is so versatile. And I love it because you can wear lace to almost any event. Of course, lace is most popular for wedding dresses, but you could also be the guest or bridesmaid wearing a lace dress at the wedding reception. You could also wear a lace dress to your niece’s birthday party or to class, pairing it with athleisure shoes or snickers for a more casual and comfy look.

Another reason why I love lace is because it has that sweet and innocent look, while at the same time it also has that coquettish sexy look for your girls’ night out.

Bottom line, lace is elegant fun, flirty and sexy!! And it never goes out of style. The best thing, is that anyone no matter what age can wear lace. I remember wearing lace as a teenager, but my 10 year old niece is now wearing lace. So if you think you are too young or too old to wear lace, I tell you, nonsense! Wear the lace and wear it with confidence!!

For this lace outfit I decided to wear it with an off white dressy long sleeve shirt to give the outfit contrast between the all black and to also make the lace stand out. Plus it was a little chilly for my thin strap dress 😉

How do you wear your lace? Feel free to share your lace looks with me, I’d love to see your stylish ideas!!

White Winter

Does anyone else, beside me, seem to have a love-hate relationship with winter? I hate it because it is sooooo cold! It makes me miss Cali even more! :'( But I love it because it is boot and cozy sweater weather season.

So in case you have not noticed yet, I am also boot lover, especially over the knee or thigh high boots. I was a little skeptical at first about thigh high boots, because of my height, but when I tried on my first pair of thigh high boots, I immediately fell in love and I said, “Buy the boots!!”

So let’s talk about wearing white in the winter. I love wearing white all year round, but I find that I love wearing white more during the winter. I suppose it is because it just feels right with the winter season. One of my favorite outfits to wear during the winter season are white sweater dresses. Not only are they so warm, but they are also so comfy. Plus, sweater dresses, such as the one I am wearing here, are so feminine and classy.

You can dress sweater dresses in a varieties of different ways. For this outfit, I chose to wear these thigh high boots. Let’s just talk about how much I love these boots. Ok, actually I am a little obsessed. First of all, I love the fact that they are thigh high boots. Second, I love the fact that they are suede and third I love the fact that they are block heels. All three a must have for this season. I also love the color of these boots. This taupe color is very versatile and can easily be worn with light, cream, whites colors such, as the ones I am wearing here, or with darker colors such as blacks and grays.
