Easter Celebrations

Hello, my loves! Hope you all are having a fabulous week! This week I wanted to share with you a little about my personal life by sharing details of my Easter Day outfit, but most importantly I wanted to share about my Easter Day celebrations and how much I love this day!!

As usual in the spring I always want to wear bright colors because for one I feel that they are so “springy” and two I love how they make my skin tone pop! 😉 So for Easter it could not have been any different. That sun though! 😉

Growing up my family didn’t really celebrate Easter. We would go to church, but that was about it. However, the older I get the more I find myself wanting to celebrate every holiday and important days with my family and of course, Easter could not have been the exception. As a Christian, Easter is one of the most significant days of the year for me. It is the day My Lord and Savior resurrected and I can be happy and rejoice in Him!

Since Easter is such a significant day for me, this year I decided that I needed to start celebrating this day and make it a family tradition. Jesus resurrected on this day thousands of years ago and I feel that we are meant to be especially happy and glad on this day and what better way to celebrate this day than with the people you love the most – family!!

Family is the most valuable thing I cherish in my life. I’ve always been close to my family, but again the older I get the more I value my family and the more I want to spend time with them every opportunity I get. (I know I sound like a grandma!!) But it’s true, I enjoy spending an afternoon with my parents watching TV and talking about our day or watching my nieces play soccer or whatever else they seem to like to do. Of course, I do enjoy doing other things as well, like spending time with friends or enjoying an afternoon by myself, but family quality time is a must on my list and one that I would not trade for anything in the world.

Since I was feeling especially happy this year about Easter, I was feeling especially bright and decided to wear this beautiful yellow dress that I purchased at Zara last summer. Although I love wearing bright colors, I had never owned anything yellow in my life, at least not that I can remember. Not gonna lie, yellow was one of those colors that was pretty and I loved seeing on other people, but I was not sure it was my color. You know what I mean? I felt that yellow was a hit or miss color. That is until I found this beautiful yellow dress at Zara and I absolutely fell in love with it. Although I had previously tried on yellow dresses, I had not found any that I truly loved. There was just something about the specific color of this dress and I absolutely adored the back of the dress! I adore the open back and how the bow details. I think it’s so darn cute!!

I decided to pair this dress with my black Steven Madden stilettos, but yellow would also go great with white heels; white heels are especially popular this season. Or with clear heels, which is also a season staple. I just purchased a pair and I want to wear them with like every outfit I own! Stay tuned for new blog post on those shoes!

Thanks loves for stopping by and reading about my Easter Day celebration. I hope you all had an amazing Easter weekend like I did. What are some of the things you all do for Easter? I would like to hear all about it!! Bisous! XOXO
